I received the "new" Guns N' Roses CD Chinese Democracy as a birthday present, but waited weeks to open it because of all the bad reviews.
And the reviewers were right. After 17 years, no album could live up to expectations. We've all changed too much. And hearing a CD as bloated, overproduced, and lyrically-challenged as this one just what my "Appetite" for days gone by.
Still, I have to admit it was good to hear Axl's voice again after all these years.
So whattaya say, guys? Izzy? Slash? Duff? There's still time to get together and do it right. I mean, it's got to be better than doing VW commercials (with a VW logo on your guitar for Christ sakes!).
Right?
